Terms of Service
Effective with the launch of Silkfire. v1.0 — pre-launch terms; a counsel-reviewed revision will replace this version before general availability.
Silkfire is a reading and creator platform for serialized manga, comics, and manhwa, operated by Silkfire LLC ("Silkfire", "we"). By creating an account or using silkfire.app, you agree to these terms.
Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 13 years old to use Silkfire, and at least 18 to view content marked Mature. You are responsible for activity on your account and for keeping access to your sign-in email secure. One account per person.
Your content
Creators retain full ownership of the work they publish on Silkfire. By publishing, you grant Silkfire a non-exclusive, worldwide license to host, display, distribute, and technically transform your work (for example, resizing and format conversion) solely to operate and promote the platform. You can remove your work at any time; the license ends for removed work except where copies must be retained for legal compliance.
You may only publish work you created or hold the rights to publish. Silkfire is for work made by people — see the Content Policy for what is and isn't allowed, including the platform's rules on AI-generated content.
Acceptable use
Don't misuse the platform: no scraping or bulk downloading of creator work, no circumventing access controls, no automated account creation, no harassment of other users, and no uploading content that violates the Content Policy.
Payments
Reader subscriptions, tips, and creator payouts are not yet live. When they launch, payment terms will be added to these terms as a new version, and continued use of paid features will require accepting that version.
Termination
You can delete your account at any time from your account settings. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or the Content Policy. Where we remove content or restrict an account, we provide a statement of reasons except where legally prohibited.
Disclaimers
Silkfire is provided "as is" during its pre-launch and early-access period. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Silkfire disclaims implied warranties and limits its liability to the amount you paid Silkfire in the twelve months preceding a claim.
Changes
We version these terms. Material changes get a new version number and take effect when you next accept them; the version you accepted is recorded with your account.
